DESIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

The CSM Advisory Group is currently seeking a Senior Manager in our Strategic Advisory group
to help steward our client's marketing efforts across their global sponsorship portfolio, which
include Olympic, golf, culinary, arts and thought leadership partnerships. Responsibilities for this
role include crafting sponsorship strategy documents that support the overarching corporate
brand efforts, researching and synthesizing trends and data in order to create and deliver
strategic presentations and points of view, overseeing the timely execution of deliverables, and
proactively managing client needs and expectations.

You will excel in this role if you are analytical, strategic, self-motivated, proactive, curious,
collaborative, a natural relationship manager and can apply your knowledge of and passion for
global sport and entertainment. Relevant experience includes account management at an
agency or management consulting firm, or brand-marketing experience on a global sponsorship
team. The ideal candidate will be able to successfully navigate complex
organizational/corporate structures, spearhead and lead workstreams, manage internal and
external teams, quickly establish trusting relationships and demonstrate CSM Advisory Group’s
value proposition.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Craft strategic executive level presentations rooted in knowledge and insights from the international sports and entertainment landscape
  • Deliver brand centric documents channeling the client’s brand mission, vision and purpose
  • Advise and support the creation and implementation of a global sponsorship database, digital portal and toolkit focused on managing the client’s global sponsorship portfolio
  • Actively participate in internal and client facing meetings, contributing thoughts, points of view and meeting recaps
  • Lead the development of presentations, reports, summary documents, etc. that exceed CSM and client expectations
  • Liaise with CSM’s Analytics & Insights group in areas such as rights holder valuations, sponsorship measurement and insights development
  • Lead collaboration with the client’s roster of external agencies (Activation, PR, Creative, Media) and rights-holders so that the sum is much greater than the parts
  • Proactively raise issues and develop possible solutions to client challenges, and seek guidance from senior leadership at CSM to gain alignment on recommendations
  • Manage and motivate CSM staff assigned to client project teams, providing supportive guidance and direction, including the oversight and management of one direct report

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

  • An individual with 5+ years of relevant experience who is passionate about advising brands on marketing and sponsorship strategy
  • Prior client servicing experience at a marketing agency or strategy firm
  • Experience and interest working in global sports and entertainment (i.e. Olympics, soccer, golf, tennis, culinary, arts, etc.)
  • Strong project management and client management skills
  • Entrepreneurial, analytic, strategic and creatively inquisitive
  • Experience in leveraging data, analytics and insights to develop points of view and client recommendations
  • Highly effective presentation building, writing and communication skills
  • Ability to handle numerous tasks simultaneously with a true attention to detail and excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Must possess a strong work ethic and thrive in a fast-paced dynamic work environment, with a great sense of humor
  • Experience in the financial services industry is a plus
